Terms of service
These terms govern your use of Evening Companion. Confirming that you are 21 or older and browsing the directory — or holding an account on it — means you accept them.
Who may use Evening Companion
You must be at least 21 years old and legally able to enter into this agreement where you live. The age confirmation on your first visit is a condition of access, not a formality: browsing past it is a statement you have made to us.
The law that applies to you is yours to know. Evening Companion is published from one place and read from many, and where a directory of this kind may not lawfully be read, you must not read it.
What Evening Companion is
Evening Companion is a directory. It publishes profiles of companions available for dinners, events and travel, and it charges nobody for doing so — neither the people listed nor the people reading. Rates appear as information a companion chose to publish: held in euros, converted for display into the currency you pick, and binding on no one.
There is no booking, no payment, no escrow and no message relay anywhere on the platform. Once a member is shown a companion's contact details, everything that follows — the arrangement, its terms, any money, the meeting itself — happens directly between those two people, off this site and outside our knowledge.
What Evening Companion is not
Evening Companion is not an agency, an employer, a broker, an introduction service, or a party to any arrangement made through it. Nothing published here is an offer of, or an advertisement for, sexual services, and a listing that reads as one is removed.
Time and companionship are what the listings describe. Whatever else two adults lawfully agree between themselves is theirs to agree, without us.
Your account
An account is free and personal to you. Keep your credentials to yourself, register an address you actually control, and tell us if you believe someone else has got in. Two-factor authentication is available in your settings and we recommend turning it on.
One person, one account. Accounts exist so that contact details reach people who signed up for them under their own name, so a shared login defeats the only protection the people listed here have.
If you are listed
A companion who publishes a profile confirms that they are at least 21, that the profile describes them, that they hold the rights to every photograph and video they upload, that everyone depicted is an adult who consented to publication, and that the contact methods given actually reach them.
Rates are display-only and publishing one offers nothing. You can edit or withdraw your listing from the portal at any time; an administrator may unpublish it for the reasons set out below.
Acceptable use
Do not upload or write anything sexually explicit, unlawful, defamatory, or someone else's. Do not impersonate another person. Do not harvest the directory, resell it, or reach for members-only data by any route other than signing in — the documented API and the consent screen are the only automated ways in, and they exist so that access stays attributable to someone.
The contact details a member is shown are for contacting that companion. They are not for a list, a resale, a mailing, or a message anyone did not ask for, and using them to harass, threaten, expose or extort a person listed here ends the account and, where it is a crime, goes to the police.
Reviews
Only a signed-in member may write a review, one per companion, and reviews are moderated before and after they appear. Write what you would say to the person's face: first-hand, honest, never explicit. Reviews traded for money or favours, written about oneself, or written to punish a refusal are removed.
What you publish stays yours
You keep every right you hold in what you upload. You grant Evening Companion a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, resize and display it for the purpose of running and promoting the directory, for as long as it is published, and to keep ordinary backups for a short period after it is removed. That licence ends when the material does.
Suspension and removal
An administrator may unpublish a profile, remove a photograph or a review, or close an account that breaks these terms, that a legal notice obliges us to act on, or that puts other people at risk. Unless a legal restriction stops us, we say what the reason was.
You may close your account at any time from your settings, and a listed companion may ask for their profile to be withdrawn.
No warranty
Evening Companion publishes what people tell it and checks what it reasonably can. A verified mark means an administrator reviewed evidence of identity — not that anyone vouches for a person's conduct. The directory is provided as it is, without warranty of accuracy, availability or fitness for any purpose.
Liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Evening Companion is not liable for what passes between people who found each other here, nor for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.
Changes, and how to reach us
We may change these terms. The version on this page is the one in force, and a material change is announced on the site before it takes effect; continuing to use Evening Companion afterwards is acceptance.
Questions about these terms go through the contact form. A copyright complaint goes to the copyright page, and anything about one specific listing to the report page.
